Job Overview
The IT Audio Visual Specialist is responsible for providing comprehensive audio-visual (A/V) and IT support across
the organization. This role ensures the effective operation and maintenance of A/V systems and provides technical
assistance for IT-related issues to ensure seamless day-to-day operations. This position will also lead the refresh and
new built out activities related to A/V. The ideal candidate will possess a blend of technical expertise in AV systems
and IT support, with strong problem-solving skills and excellent customer service abilities. You will also troubleshoot
problem areas (in person, by telephone, or via remote access) in a timely and accurate fashion and provide end-user
assistance where required.
 
Responsibilities
Audio Visual Support
 Set up, operate, and maintain A/V equipment for meetings, conferences, presentations, and other events.
 Troubleshoot and resolve A/V related issues promptly.
 Coordinate with external vendors for A/V equipment procurement, installation, and maintenance.
 Conduct regular maintenance and updates of A/V equipment and systems.
 Perform daily checks on A/V equipment and conference rooms to proactively resolve issues.
 Train staff on the proper use of A/V equipment and software.
 Participate and coordinate the planned refresh of A/V equipment.
IT Support
 Install, upgrade, support and troubleshoot Windows 10, Windows 11, Microsoft O365 and any other
authorized desktop applications.
 Install, configure, update macOS and set up Mac systems for employees ensuring that they are configured
correctly.
 Install, upgrade, support and troubleshoot for printers, computer hardware and any other authorized
peripheral equipment.
 Perform general preventative maintenance tasks on computers, laptops, and any other authorized peripheral
equipment.
 Perform remedial repairs on computers, laptops, printers, and any other authorized peripheral equipment.
 Customize desktop hardware to meet user specifications and site standards.
 Perform work in compliance within specified warranty requirements.
 Return defective equipment/parts to maintenance inventory, documents customer repairs, maintains and
restocks assigned parts inventory to insure proper spare parts levels.
 Be responsible for monitoring, operating, managing, troubleshooting, and restoring to service any terminal
service client, personal computers (PC) or notebooks that has authorized access to the network.
 ‘Have the capacity to learn existing and emerging technologies.
 Provide direct production support services for application users by responding to operational problems that
are funneled to the team via helpdesk tickets.
 Support the various applications used by staff.

Qualifications
 High school diploma
 6 months to 1+ year of IT-related help desk experience required.
 1 year of audio-visual support experience required.
 Ability to work within a team setting.
 Must be capable of managing multiple efforts with time-related constraints in a fast-paced environment.
 Demonstrate ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with diverse internal and external
stakeholder groups and individuals.
 Friendly presence, helpful attitude, good interpersonal skills, and ability to work well with others.
 Above average Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, and other applications)
 Ability to train end users on frequently asked technical issues.
 Ability to provide technical assistance and support over the phone.
 Good phone skills, professional demeanor, and previous customer service experience strongly desired
 Good problem-solving skills with the ability to visualize a problem or situation and think abstractly to solve it.
 Ability to lift 10 to 25 lbs. throughput the day.
 Ability to work underneath desk if necessary.
